Our Story

Born from a Love of Slow Cooking

Simmering Soups started with a simple idea: what if we made soup the way our grandmothers did — slowly, with real ingredients, and without cutting corners?

What began as weekend batches for friends and family grew into something much more. We opened our doors in Cumberland in 2020, right here on Mendon Road, and have been serving the community ever since.

Every morning, we arrive before dawn to source the freshest produce from local farms and markets across Rhode Island. We chop, we stir, we taste, and we simmer — because good soup can't be rushed.

Every bowl goes through a careful journey before it reaches your table. Here's what goes into making a pot of Simmering Soups.

We visit local farms and markets to hand-pick the freshest seasonal produce every morning.

Chop & Prep

Every vegetable is hand-chopped, every herb is fresh-picked. No shortcuts, no frozen shortcuts either.

Step 3

Simmer

Low and slow — our pots simmer for hours, building layers of flavor that make every spoonful special.

Serve with Love

We ladle each bowl with care, because feeding people is the best part of our day.
